This study aims to investigate the experiences and challenges faced by Indian international students who were/are international students at Ukrainian universities and have become stranded due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The results of this study are as follows. First, Indian international students were exposed to a vulnerable situation due to the government's border control and travel restrictions until the Indian government's rescue operation was carried out. Not only did they lack access to essential services, but they also had to stop studying or transfer to unwanted countries due to financial problems. Second, Indian international students, stranded by border regimes and travel restrictions, appeared to seek their survival in various ways. In particular, they showed active use of social media networks. Indian students were stranded in Ukraine, informed on social media of their vulnerable situation, shared information for isolated migrants, or actively asked the Indian Embassy or the government for help.
